Shipping & Boat Charter
IDC co-owns and operates Enterprise II and has expanded its maritime fleet with the acquisition of MV Le Revenant, strengthening the Company’s capacity to service the outer islands. IDC also charters additional vessels when required, providing greater flexibility and a wider range of shipping options.
IDC’s Shipping Department operates one of the most comprehensive and wide-ranging vessel chartering and maritime support services in Seychelles. The shore operation is managed by the Logistics Manager, while the vessels are operated by professional crews, with strong Seychellois representation.
Enterprise II: Lifeline of the outer islands
For nearly 15 years, Enterprise II has been a key vessel providing a vital sea link between Mahé and the outer islands. Sailing on a regular basis, the 350-ton vessel completes circuits of the islands, transporting fuel, construction materials, equipment, essential provisions and other cargo to islands managed by IDC.
The Company also provides shipping services to third-party clients, notably luxury resorts on the outer islands and the Seychelles Islands Foundation, managers of Aldabra.

MV Le Revenant: Strengthening Connections to the Outer Islands
IDC further strengthened its maritime capabilities in 2026 with the addition of MV Le Revenant to its fleet.
The 30-metre vessel, with a cargo capacity of 100 tonnes, is purpose-built to enhance IDC’s connections between Mahé and the outer islands of Seychelles. It is equipped with a deck crane with a one-tonne lifting capacity and a 12-metre extended boom, facilitating loading and unloading operations on the islands.
Operating alongside Enterprise II, Le Revenant provides IDC with additional capacity and flexibility in transporting essential supplies, equipment and cargo to the outer islands.

Import and Export
Enterprise II and Le Revenant transport goods and essential supplies from Mahé to the outer islands and return with products from the islands for the domestic market, including copra, coconut oil, charcoal, shrimp and agricultural produce.
Copra was the principal product of the outer islands when IDC was established. Today, tourism has risen to prominence, with IDC playing an important role in providing the goods, services and logistical support required to sustain economic activity across the outer islands.
